Cees Dekker (TU Delft), Gijs Wuite (VU Amsterdam) and Pieter Rein ten Wolde (AMOLF & VU Amsterdam) have each been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant.

Advanced Grants are awarded to internationally established research leaders to conduct ground-breaking, high-risk projects with a maximum duration of five-year projects.


Their winning research proposals:

Cees Dekker – LoopingDNA – Bottom up biophysics approach to resolve the looping structure of chromosomes
Gijs Wuite – MONOCHROME – Disentangling metaphase chromosome organisation one chromosome at a time
Pieter Rein ten Wolde – OCP – Optimal Cellular Prediction
